Come join us in our cozy little jungle for a hands on evening as we teach you about the art of Kokedama! Kokedama is a style of planting originating in Japan, where the roots of a plant are wrapped in moss and bound. These beautiful pieces of art are not only visually stunning but easy to care for.

Workshop fee includes everything you’ll need to create and care for your new Kokedama. You will have a variety of plants to choose from for your Kokedama. She will walk you through the fundamentals of working with royal icing and cover a variety of decorating techniques including outlining, flooding, and detailing. This is designed as a beginner class but all levels are welcome! Each person will leave with their beautifully decorated cookies, a cookie decorated by Kate, as well as recipes, a scribe, and the knowledge & confidence to continue creating at home.

Whether you are a first time plant parent or a recovering houseplant murderer, this workshop will provide you with all the tools necessary to keep your houseplants thriving! Participants will learn about different plant families and their care needs as well as how to troubleshoot common issues, such as pests. Dog Squad is a shelter-less rescue based here in Greenville, SC, dedicated to saving high-risk dogs from euthanasia and providing them with essential medical care, rehabilitation, and lots of love through foster homes.
